The Africa Blockchain Center is holding a Pan African blockchain hackathon to promote web 3 development The Africa Blockchain Center, a Pan African blockchain company is set to hold its first inaugural hackathon this month in 5 countries from 15th to 19th July 2022. The participants will choose to work with at least one from all blockchain protocols (Cardano, Algorand, Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, celo, polygon, Binance) and also with a special entity area where technology partner Joget, will provide an option for interested participants to build decentralized apps using Cardano blockchain on their JOGET DX platform.
The main aim of the hackathon is to facilitate and help participants produce innovative blockchain solutions that seek to resolve pertinent challenges facing Africa and meet the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Another benefit for the participants is opportunities to work with the Africa Blockchain Center as web 3 developers who will be involved in the development of in-house solutions and client projects. The event will also provide an opportunity for Web2 developers to familiarize themselves and learn new knowledge and skills to transition into Web 3 development.

The event is supported by partners including Adanian Labs, Joget and JKUAT Industrial Park.
