Android App Development Hackathon – Free Event

I am pleased to let you know that we we will be running a joint GDG and Android Group hackathon to develop an app for the Safely Home Website. We were unable to get an API endpoint for the hackathon, so we are going to build one based on the Google Cloud Platform or Parse based on your preferences.

Here is a brief breakdown of the app functions:

1. Post an incident to the backend

2. Retrieve incidetns from a remote endpoint

3. use Location Services and Maps when posting an invent

4. Use the Camera for capturing images to be send to the remote endpoint

5. Use a local db for caching incidents

6. Your features here you want to add to the app
