Smart Community Hackathon

SA Innovation Summit Smart Community Hackathon offered in Cape Town – Build the smart communities of tomorrow with us!

In addition to the already exciting lineup of the SA Innovation Summit High Impact Series of Events in collaboration with the City of Cape Town this year, a 24-hour Smart Communities Hackathon take place on 19 and 20 August.

Venue: The Barn Khayelitsha, Lookout Hill, Corner Mew Way, Khayelitsha, Cape Town, South Africa, 7784

Time: Hackathon will take place from 17:00 on 19 August to 17:00 on 20 August (followed by an Award Ceremony)

To ensure the addressing of relevant challenges at the Hackathon and participation by relevant stakeholders, the Smart Communities Hackathon will be staged with two pre-events:

An open meeting with the local ward-leaders and change-makers on Saturday the 25th of June 2016 to network and get word out to the communities at grass root level
A community workshop to identify the most pressing challenges experienced will follow on the 9th of July 2016
