Description
Prodigy Labs is teaming up with Platform45 to host its inaugural hackathon – if coding is your thing, it’s not to be missed!

Whether you’re a rookie or an experienced developer, this event is an opportunity to showcase your skills, create a great piece of work and meet up and engage with like-minded talent.

The Challenge:

We’re thinking out of the box. Current loan providers use generic risk models as a means of analysis as to whether a candidate can or cannot get a loan. But we think there is more to a person than just their savings account, or rent payments. We are looking to provide loans based on a person’s online social profile – who they are connected to on Linked In, who they have liked on Facebook, how many twitter followers they have. How can we give these students a credit score based on their online social activities?

Come up with a winning social credit scoring algorithm, and some cool prizes could be coming your way…

We Supply:

Fuel – all the food, caffeine and beer you’ll need (We’ll have Truth providing coffee, and local favourites Gusto’s providing the catering).
Prizes – more details available on sign up, but let’s just say they’re awesome!
Ruby experts to help you out as mentors throughout the event.
