Utility Hackathon Invite
Imagine your life without electricity, water and sanitation! Not a pretty picture, yet millions of people on the African continent make do without these resources that we take for granted. With access to reliable electricity, safe water, and sanitation the social and economic growth will respond positively everywhere it touches.
The 13th annual Africa Utility Week with sponsorship from MTN is organising a 48 hour utility hackathon on Tuesday 14th May to Wednesday 15th May 2013 at the CTICC in Cape Town.
Who should attend?
You are a social entrepreneur, innovator, open source developer, data scientist, designer (graphical, gui, industrial etc), open hardware enthusiast, project manager.
You would like to make a difference.
You want to meet like-minded people and have fun.
You can’t resist a challenge.
Or all of the above
The challenges
The challenges are currently being sourced from power and water utilities from across Africa and will be updated soon.
Be assured that a representative from the utility will be present to brief you on the day
